Playtime forms a significant part of our learning in Kindergarten because we understand how crucial it is in nurturing well rounded and adjusted children. Having play as a central part of learning helps children develop physical, cognitive, and social skills and improves their language.<\/p><p>In the playgroup, children first learn \u201chow to learn.\u201d They begin to form their attitudes toward school and to see themselves as learners. As they grow, they continue to learn through play in the same ways, with the guidance of their teachers. They experiment with the properties of matter at the sand and water tables. They learn phonics when they sing songs together.
